DYCO Electronics Acquired by Gowanda - Featured at APEC Show





GCG Expands its magnetic component capabilities by acquiring DYCO Electronics in Hornell, NY.

Gowanda Components Group is pleased to announce that its electronic component products and technologies are expanding in connection with the acquisition of Dyco Electronics in Hornell, NY. Dyco Electronics will be featured at Gowanda’s booth #310 during APEC 2017, the applied power electronics conference being held March 27-29 in Tampa, FL.


GCG CEO Don McElheny stated, “Dyco Electronics excels in designing custom magnetics for high reliability and high performance applications, much like our Gowanda Electronics business unit. Dyco’s expertise with laminated transformers, planar transformers and specialized solutions will enhance GCG’s ability to address the toughest challenges facing design engineers in the global markets we serve.”

Terms of the deal were not disclosed but GCG has stated that Dyco Electronics’ operations will remain in Hornell, NY. In addition to Hornell, GCG has three other production facilities located within the United States.

This is the sixth acquisition for GCG within the last five years.
